Instant Games is now available to all of the 1.2 billion people who use Facebook’s Messenger app.

The global launch comes with 50 titles to play from Pac-Man and Space Invaders to Zynga’s Words With Friends and Blackstorm’s EverWing. Playing is as easy as opening a conversation with a friend(s), tapping a game controller icon and then choosing which game you wish to play.

The global launch includes features, such as rich gameplay, that Facebook exclusively previewed at its recent annual F8 conference for developers. Rich gameplay enables the creation of “unique and sophisticated experiences and Game bots to help game makers surface exciting features like new levels and rewards,” Messenger product manager Andrea Vaccari said in a blog post.

“Rich gameplay features such as turn-based games (our most requested feature) can also weave in leaderboards and tournaments, and offer more visually engaging and customizable game messages during play,” Vaccari added. “Game bots help re-engage players by calling out new game options and encouraging competition with updates on the leaderboards.”

Games on Messenger feature score-based leaderboards, in-context chat, and group thread conversations to challenge, celebrate and congratulate. Messenger will also recommend games that your friends play, to give you someone to interact with."Source: -" So far, you can only play with people who are your contacts on Messenger.
